WHO WE ARE
A School Built Around the Learner, Not the Sales Page
Chalad Code started as a small effort to make AI development education more accessible in Thailand — honest, structured, and free of pressure.
Back to HomeOUR STORY
From a Shared Frustration to a Working School
Chalad Code grew out of a simple observation: most online coding courses in the region moved too fast, assumed too much, or buried learners in marketing before the first lesson. A group of developers and educators in Khon Kaen decided to try a different approach — starting small, keeping the curriculum honest, and checking in with learners as they went.
The school opened its first cohort in 2022 with twelve learners enrolled in what would become the Code Basics programme. The feedback shaped everything that followed. Lessons were re-recorded, pacing was adjusted, and the mentorship model was refined based on what learners said they actually needed — not what looked good in a brochure.
By 2024, Chalad Code had expanded to three courses, serving learners across Thailand and parts of Southeast Asia. The focus has remained the same: structured content, realistic timelines, and mentors who respond to individual work rather than giving generic responses.
WHAT GUIDES US
Values We Try to Act On
Honesty over excitement
We describe courses as they are — including who they suit and who they do not. If something is hard, we say so.
Pacing that respects real life
All courses are designed for people with jobs, studies or other commitments. We do not expect learners to be available full-time.
Feedback that means something
Mentors read submissions carefully and write responses that address the actual work — not generic encouragement.
No pressure, ever
We do not use countdown timers, scarcity claims or urgency tactics. If a course is right for you, it will still be right for you next week.
THE PEOPLE
Who You Will Learn With
Our small team brings together software developers and educators with backgrounds in both teaching and building real-world AI tools.
Sirawit Worawit
Lead Instructor — AI & Python
Sirawit spent eight years building data pipelines and classification tools for logistics firms in Bangkok before joining Chalad Code. He designs the ML and AI Tools curricula and handles advanced mentorship.
Nanthida Khamwan
Curriculum Lead — Code Basics
Nanthida has taught programming fundamentals at Khon Kaen University and knows firsthand where beginners tend to get stuck. She designed the Code Basics programme from scratch and continues to refine it each term.
Pongsakorn Thongsuk
Mentor & Student Support
Pongsakorn manages day-to-day learner questions, schedules check-ins, and provides code reviews across all three courses. He is usually the first point of contact when learners run into difficulty.
HOW WE OPERATE
Standards We Hold Our Courses To
These are not aspirational statements — they are the practical checks we run when reviewing and updating course content each quarter.
Curriculum Review Cycle
All course content is reviewed every three months. Libraries, tools and examples are updated to reflect current practice in Python and AI development.
Mentor Qualification Standards
Every mentor holds at least three years of active industry or academic experience in software development or machine learning before joining the teaching team.
Learner Data Privacy
Personal data is handled in line with Thailand's PDPA requirements. We collect only what is needed to manage enrolment and communication, and do not share it for marketing purposes.
Feedback Turnaround
Written feedback on submitted exercises is delivered within five working days. For learners falling behind or facing difficulty, mentors reach out proactively before the end of each week.
Clear Course Descriptions
Each programme lists its prerequisites, weekly time requirements, level and expected outcomes plainly — so learners can make an informed decision before they pay.
Transparent Pricing
Course fees are listed in Thai Baht with no hidden add-ons. What you see on the course page is what you pay — materials, mentorship and feedback included.
ABOUT OUR WORK
AI Education That Fits Ordinary Schedules
Chalad Code operates as an online school for people in Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region who want to develop practical skills in coding and AI development. The school's approach is shaped by the observation that most available courses either move at a pace unsuitable for part-time learners or present information in a way that assumes background knowledge the learner has not yet built.
The three programmes — Code Basics, Intro to Machine Learning, and Building AI Tools — are sequenced deliberately. Each one introduces a clearly defined set of skills, uses tools and libraries that are current in the field, and includes structured feedback from mentors with relevant hands-on experience. Learners are not expected to work through material unsupported; check-ins and written feedback are a standard part of the process, not optional extras.
Based in Khon Kaen, Chalad Code serves learners who access courses entirely online. Pricing is set in Thai Baht and reflects the local cost of learning, not international market rates. The school does not use urgency tactics, artificial scarcity or vague outcome claims. Learners can review detailed course pages before enrolling, ask questions without obligation, and take time to decide whether a programme is the right fit for their current situation.
