Longer courses include milestone check-ins to review progress and adjust direction.
Code Basics
A gentle start in coding with small, friendly lessons that build confidence step by step. The course assumes no prior programming knowledge whatsoever — it begins with how code works and what Python is, and moves at a pace suitable for learners who are entirely new to the field. Runs over six weeks at a relaxed pace and includes recorded lessons with supportive mentor feedback on weekly exercises.
What the course covers:
- How programs work: variables, data types, control flow
- Writing and running Python code from scratch
- Functions, loops and basic data structures
- Reading error messages and debugging simple problems
- Introduction to version control (Git basics)
How it progresses:
Setting up, writing first programs, understanding data types
Functions, loops, lists and dictionaries
Small project, debugging practice and final exercise
Intro to Machine Learning
A grounded introduction to training and testing simple machine learning models, with careful, clear methods. Suited to learners who have basic Python skills — either from Code Basics or equivalent self-study. The course runs over eleven weeks with weekly check-in sessions and includes guided projects with gentle code reviews throughout.
What the course covers:
- What machine learning is and when it is useful
- Working with data: Pandas and NumPy in practice
- Supervised learning: classification and regression models
- Evaluating and comparing model performance
- Scikit-learn workflows and guided project work
How it progresses:
Data loading, cleaning and exploration with Pandas
Building and evaluating classification and regression models
Guided project with milestone reviews and final submission
Building AI Tools
A hands-on course building small, useful AI tools from idea to working prototype, with thoughtful guidance at every stage. Suited to learners who have completed the ML course or have equivalent experience with Python and machine learning concepts. Runs over fourteen weeks with structured milestones, a capstone project and dedicated mentor support throughout.
What the course covers:
- Scoping and planning an AI tool project
- Connecting models to APIs and simple interfaces
- Working with language models and external data
- Testing, iterating and documenting a working prototype
- Capstone project with milestone reviews and final presentation
How it progresses:
Tool scoping, planning and initial prototype setup
Core development: models, APIs, data handling
Capstone project finalisation, documentation and review
